Weight Gain, Muscle Weakness, Chronic Fatigue

Dennis presented with weight gain, progressive muscle weakness and chronic fatigue. Muscle weakness began after taking Zocor, a statin drug prescribed by his Medical Doctor to lower cholesterol (see “The Dangers of Statin Drugs”. At the Goldberg Tener Clinic, a comprehensive workup was performed and key underlying factors were identified. Lab studies revealed a significant elevation of Creatine Kinase, an enzyme reflective of muscle damage when elevated. In just a few months, the Creatine Kinase level dropped over 50%. Dennis’s energy improved considerably and he lost 24 pounds.
